1872 Two Cents. PCGS graded Proof 66 Red. A spotless reddish-golden gem. In a word, this is a blazing red Proof of the finest order, surpassed by only a single higher-grade example in the PCGS population. Intense luster fairly leaps from the reflective surfaces of this prize. One look at the present gem will satisfy your curiosity as to why few examples of the 1872 issue have been certified in this grade. Faithful to every detail from a full blow by the dies. Pop 12; 1 better in 67.
Estimated Value $5,400 - 5,700.
